LEGO Competition on Family Day

Family Day is Saturday, July 27, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year's theme is From the Ground Up: Archaelogy to Architecture — Come explore the fascinating links between yesterday's artifacts and today's architecture during this FREE fun-filled day.

As part of the day's activites the Philomath Community Library will be running a LEGO building competition.

LEGO enthusiasts can unleash their inner architect. From pyramids to castles, houses to skyscrapers, forts to igloos — any imaginative architectural abode through the ages, past and future is encouraged!

WHEN    To enter the competition, bring one architectural or archaeological building-related LEGO creation to the BCHS museum Family Day on Saturday, July 27.

SIZE     Creations must be no larger than 12˝ tall, 18˝ wide, and 15˝ deep.

FOUR AGE CATEGORIES     0–4 years     5–11 years    12–18 years     18+ (Adult)

JUDGING     Judging will take place at 2 p.m. on Family Day, and winners in each age category will be chosen by a panel of experts.

Winning creations will be displayed at the Philomath Community Library during the month of August, and the creators will receive a prize.

A free-play LEGO building area will also be available for kids to enjoy during Family Day.
