“Mexicanos in Oregon: Sojourners, Settler, and New Immigrants”
Dr. Gonzales-Berry gives an overview of the presence of Mexicanos in Oregon from 1869 to the present and examines the economic, political and social factors that have contributed to their migration to this state. This presentation is based on the book, Mexicanos in Oregon: Their Stories, Their Lives, by Dr. Gonzales-Berry and Dr. Marcela Mendoza.
All lectures start at 10 a.m. in the Moreland Gallery at the museum in Philomath.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m., and pre-lecture coffee is served in the gallery from 9:30 to 10:00 am. Lectures are free to members; non-member fee is $5 per lecture.
