On Monday, July 23rd, Rebecca Morris, famed true-crime novelist who grew up in Corvallis, will talk about her new book, “Murder in My Hometown” about the unsolved murder case of her Corvallis High School classmate, Dick Kitchel in 1968.
The Benton County Historical Society presents its summer lecture series titled “A World of Ideas” on Mondays at noon at the Museum in Philomath for four weeks beginning on July 16, 2018. The program is free to Society members; a $5 admission is charged for non-members.
Lectures will be held in the Moreland Gallery at the Benton County Museum in Philomath. Presentations begin at noon and attendees are invited to bring a brown bag lunch. Beverages will be served.
The Benton County Historical Society is located at 1101 Main Street in Philomath on Hwy 20/34, six miles west of Corvallis. The museum is open special hours for the Monday lecture series. The museum’s general operating hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Contact 541-929-6230
