Museum Membership Application: step 1 of 2
All OMA memberships are on a calendar year basis and expire on December 31st.
All OMA members receive the basic benefits: The Dispatch, the OMA's published newsletter; E-Dispatch, the OMA's monthly e-mail notice of museum news and events; discounts on registration fees to OMA meetings and
workshops. Each member is entitled to one vote at OMA business meetings.
Institutional memberships are for museums and, in addition to the basic benefits, receive a free listing in the
OMA Guidebook to Oregon Museums, free Guidebooks and rack cards for distribution at their museum and a listing on the OMA website. Institutional members may send up to five staff members (paid staff, volunteers, or board
members, who need not be individual members of OMA) to OMA meetings and workshops at the discount rate.
OMA Institutional members should qualify as a museum by the definition of the American Association of
Museums, available at: http://www.aam-us.org/aboutmuseums/whatis.cfm.
