Thanks to a generous gift from Peter and Rosalie Johnson, the new Collections Center now houses our artifacts in a state-of-the-art facility that protects them and keeps them organized. The temperature controlled environment is especially important for preserving delicate materials such as quilts, wood, textiles and animal skins.
The new Collections Center houses over 120,000 artifacts in our collection.
The state-of-the-art facility hleps preserve and organize the artifacts.
All kinds of storage options protect the artifacts and facilitate identification and access to them.
The large space accommodates items big and small, and helps us prepare exhibitions that reveal interesting relations among them.
